This table shows breakdowns of household final consumption expenditure on durable goods, semi-durable goods, non-durable goods, and services. Durable goods are defined as goods that can be used repeatedly or continuously over a period of considerably more than one year and have a substantially higher purchasers’ price than semi-durable goods and non-durable goods. Non-durable goods can only be used once or have a lifetime of considerably less than one year. Semi-durable goods differ from non-durable goods in that they can be used repeatedly or continuously over a period longer than a year and they differ from durable goods in that their expected lifetime of use, though longer than a year, is often significantly shorter and their purchasers’ price is substantially less.
